Contemplation

I was contemplating this chakra today especially in the scope of 'influence' so to speak. Especially when talking about 'survival' where do our hunter gatherer urges go, is this where our tenancy of collection of needless materialistic things? Is the willingness to stay in one spot (so to speak) and wait it out a function? I know that is a really vague statement and can cover all manner of things. If I wait around 'it' will be better or something better will come along? Or how people jealously guard their position or possessions. What exactly governs our 'survival' in our society?

I was thinking of constructing some meditations to use in regards to this. Lam is its bija mantra so usually I will sing a few repetitions when working with this chakra but I was also thinking of what to do about the Deities of the Chakra. In this case its Bramha and the energetic factor is Dakini.

I went to go look for something, a mantra or more information regarding Dakini, but I haven't found much of anything so far. The only other thing that came to mind to further explore this was to concentrate on the yoga corispondance which would be the bridge pose. Any suggestions? Comments? Ideas?

One way I have contemplated a chakra was to get a Notebook, with a cover in the color of that particular chakra. Then, write my own feelings about the chakra in it, as well as prayers, affirmations, qualities, deities, etc. It is a fun way to practice meditation and contemplation of the chakra.

Another way is to tie a thread around one's wrist, or wear a necklace of that thread, and meditate upon that chakra until the thread finally falls off.

Here are some affirmations for the Red Chakra:

I am willing to release all fears, worries and concerns about money, my career, safety, and protection.

I know that I am perfectly protected and that all my needs are met abundantly.

I am safe, I trust in the natural flow of life. I take my natural place in the world content in the knowledge that all I need will come to me in the right time and space. I am secure and grounded in the physical form and give thanks to Mother Earth for the nourishment, shelter, and stability She gives me.

I am safe and secure at all times.

I am divinely protected and guided and my way is made smooth and easy.

I love my feet. They show me the way.

I love my legs. They give me support.

I am open to expanding my awareness of life.

I am willing to release all my old patterns of fear and insecurity to live with joy and well-being now.

I know that I belong. I know that I am safe.

People now support me in an easy and pleasurable way.

It is safe for me to enjoy my life now.

I am willing to be my own good mother and look after myself properly at all times.

I am responsible for the quality of my life.
I am open to new ideas, new thoughts, and new people in my life.

I am willing to consider the possibility that there are new approaches to enjoying
life which will enhance my sense of being alive and give me pleasure.

    Life is good.

I trust life supports me in fulfilling my purpose.

I have a right to be me, just exactly as I am.

I have a right to express myself and manifest my dreams.

    I can have pleasure.

I trust in the process of my life to unfold for my highest good and greatest joy.

I love my life just exactly the way it is. I am free to make whatever changes are necessary for my future.

I can risk doing what I feel is right.
    I am a life enhancer.
I am creating a healthy foundation on which creativity can flourish.

I allow myself to be both physically safe and tranquil within my world.

The Universe is a safe and loving place.
*I am safe in this world.
*I was ordained to be here, right now, at this time.
*God shall supply all my needs.
*There is enough for everyone, including me.
*I belong, and have a right to be here.
*I am able to stand up for myself.
*The earth and all its wonders nourish me. The trees, rocks, and soil—they are gifts from the Creator which teem with life.
*I am rooted and grounded in Life.

“I am secure and stable, and happy with who I am.”

My root chakra is deeply rooted.

As for Dakini....I HIGHLY recommend the CD course:
