hello, i have over a year now trying to improve my relationships with people now. my relationships have improved alot, and are still improving. My love life is what needs more focus. That is one thing i am having the most trouble with. So i am now seeking the spiritual path to cure my internal problems that block me from success in love life and relationships.

I just bought a crystal pendulum two days ago and i'm seeking info of the dangers of having a certain chakra open and closed. i read on another website that having certain chakra open and other close is very dangerous. I read that people will start to take advantage over you. I also read that once you open one chakra, another one will close for protection.

any information is greatly appreciated.

thank you in advance!

  • A couple of quick things come to mind. Try not to be fearful or pick up other people's fears. If you take a gradual and balanced approach, there's nothing to fear. That doesn't mean that spiritual healing is easy. It's not, as I'm sure you know. It takes time and patience. Many uncomfortable emotions can arise as old emotions, traumas, behavioral patterns and relationship dynamics, come to the surface to be cleared. It is a long process to move through the many facets of our beings. Every difficult moment is one where we can learn something. And every joyous moment is that, too.

I would advocate not worrying and also not getting caught up with actively opening or closing chakras using special techniques. Focus on simply clearing them, and work all of them always, not just the ones you think may be deficient in some way. They're an integrated and interdependent system. Working some at the exclusion of others is the equivalent of only exercising only a couple of muscle groups rather than your whole body.

Keep in mind that in all of us, from birth onward, whether open or closed, chakras are still active and functioning all of the time... to whatever capacity they are able. Some are likely to be more active than others, which may be distorted or blocked by old energetic patterns, but even those are still working to some degree. There's a higher intelligence to our energy bodies that can never be manipulated, as much as we can facilitate their clearing through breathwork, yoga, meditation, tai chi, etc. Like any system, the chakras naturally strive for balance, so when one is underactive, another will compensate by being overactive.

Likewise, when too much clearing happens too fast, many negativities can get poured out as the body balances to the new influx of energy. I guess that is where the idea of "danger" comes in. Going too fast is not recommended in my opinion. With respect for all here, shaktipat is not my personal recommendation for most of us western society. It is a very hard path, I can say first-hand. Self-initiation through the gradual path of one's own personal practice and natural evolutionary advancement is the gentlest way (and totally safe) to unfold. Like a flower, coming to bloom naturally.

And all of that said, just do your best to keep going, keep practicing and keep listening to your own inner self. It's the truest guru relationship you can cultivate. The universe is always taking care of us, always loving us and nurturing us. So when fears crop up, that's a good thing to remind yourself of.

And be grateful for the challenges and beauties that present themselves as you move through your journey. They never stop, and neither does the journey. So enjoy the scenery. :-)

    Namaste,
    ~claude.
